BASIC CONCEPTS
Electrofused grating and/or pressing
Reticular structures that consist of bearing bars orthogonally connected by transverse elements. Junctions between the two types of profiles are defined as "knots".
Bearing bar (h x s)
Elements arranged in parallel with each other to carry the load on the grating, defined by the dimensions of its transverse section h x s (see Figure 1).
Transverse plates
Elements arranged transversely to the bearing bar and serves to unite and maintain a constant distance between the bearing bar (see Figure 1). The transverse plates also has the function of distributing the load across.
Distance (A and B)
Distance between the center of two consecutive bearing bar (A) or two consecutive transverse plates (B) (see Figure 1).
Mesh (A and B)
Area enclosed by the distance between two consecutive bearing bar (A) and two consecutive transverse plates (B) (see Figure 1).
Bearing direction
Direction of the bearing bar.
It is indicated by the conventional symbol (see Figure 1).
Designation of the electrofused and/or pressing grating
Characteristic features of the type of gratings electrofused and / or pressed are:
It is provided as an example the name of the electrofused grating:
EE 34 x 38 (bearing plate 25 x 3 - mesh 34 x 38) - 25 x 3
And the pressing grating:
EP 33 x 33 (bearing plate 25 x 3 - mesh 33 x 33) - 25 x 3
